Prior to joining to JSA Advising, Simon spent over 20 years “on the client side” tasked with building, growing, turning around, and optimizing both national and global businesses. Simon spent most of these years with The Pillsbury Company, a leading branded food company now part of General Mills, and with Cargill, one of the largest U.S. private companies whose businesses cover many sectors including agriculture, food, industrial products and financial services and operates in 70+ countries. With these organizations, Simon held various leadership positions in new product development, brand marketing, general management and new business building.
As an Advisor with JSA Advising, Simon leverages his breadth of business experiences with his educational training to support family businesses and corporations. Simon takes a client-centered, results-oriented approach to improving business performance. He has worked with a range of clients seeking support and guidance on executive coaching, team development, family systems governance, change management, and next generation transitions.
Simon holds Masters degrees from Oxford University (Chemistry), University of Minnesota (MBA) and Minnesota State University, Mankato (Sport Psychology) as well as being a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. He grew up in London, England where his father and grandfather ran their own family business for decades.
